Revival

The composition of the work is simple, it consists only with a light bulb. When we talk or even only move loudly around the bulb, it gets dimmer; the louder we speak, the dimmer it gets and if we are loud enough the light will perish, until after we are silent again.

The background of this piece is based on the notion of social-distancing. Light itself is metaphorical, it’s spiritual and it represents life. Light perishes, life perishes. Magnitude of sound is an indication of distance; when closer, it is louder and vice versa. And sound itself is not constant, it has its own dynamic.
